Titanic Boa is the largest snake ever discovered. They were between 12 and 15 meters or 39 and 49 ft in

length and weighed about 1,135 kg or 2,500 lbs with a diameter of 1 m or 40 in at the thickest part of the body.

It is believed to have lived approximately 60 to 58 million years ago, in the Paleocene epoch. It was recently

discovered in Columbia.

Gigantophis garstini is another prehistoric snake believed to have measured more than 10 meters (33 ft),

larger than any living species of snake. It was the largest snake before the discovery of Titanoboa. Gigantophis

lived approximately 40 million years ago in the southern Sahara where Egypt and Algeria are now situated.
