It’s one of the worst natural disasters in modern history, and the Japanese earthquake/tsunami devastation is unbelievable.

Here in the States, many of our favorite celebrities are taking to their Twitter accounts to send love, prayers, and well-wishes to everyone affected.

Khloe Kardashian tweeted, “My prayers and love is with all of those in Japan. Wow my heart is breaking with every image I see. So sad! Praying hard!”

Additionally, Lea Michele added, "So devastating to hear about the huge earthquake & tsunami [in] Japan. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone there."

As for Lindsay Lohan, she shared, "My mommy just woke my sister and I up to this! God bless those that are in fear."

"The images on the news are breaking my heart. I am so worried for everyone in Japan. My thoughts are with you Japan. God bless you all," tweeted Paris Hilton.

And President Barack Obama shared, "Sending condolences to the people of Japan, particularly those who lost loved ones in the earthquake & tsunamis. U.S. stands ready to help."

Lindsay Lohan Pondering Plea Deal

Lindsay Lohan was in court again today to schedule a preliminary hearing for April 22nd. Judge Keith Schwartz is giving Lilo an interim hearing though on March 25 where she will inform the judge if she plans to accept a confidential plea deal, or plead guilty or no contest. Judge Schwartz said;

“The only reason you’ll be here is to plead guilty or no contest to the charge and accept the parameters of the court’s offer,”
“If you and your attorney decide not to settle this case before prelim, you do not have to appear on March 25.”

Lindsay’s lawyer told UsMagazine.com that;

“Events are constantly evolving, it is a fluid process.”
“I’m pleased my motion was partially granted.”

It looks like there’s a chance she’s going to be facing jail time one way or another. Do you think she should accept the plea?

Michael Lohan: Skipping Out on Lindsay's Court Doings

As she prepares to face the judge once more, Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael, has proclaimed that he will not be joining his daughter in her upcoming courtroom appearances.

Originally, the celebrity dad had planned to leave the Pasadena Recovery Center, where is currently a cast member on “Celebrity Rehab,” but has since changed his mind.

Known to think quite highly of himself, Michael told Radar Online that he didn’t want to attract unnecessary attention during the hearing.

“Dr. Drew and Bob Forrest suggested that I don't go to court because even if cameras didn't follow me, someone might say they did,” Lohan said.

Lindsay Lohan Refuses Plea Deal Involving Jail

Lindsay Lohan's lawyer is doing all she can to negotiate the best possible plea deal for a client who, in legal parlance, is up s--- creek without a paddle.

The troubled star has other ideas about how to proceed, however.

Lindsay Lohan doesn't care what Shawn Chapman Holley is trying to work out with the D.A., and is still steadfastly refusing to plea bargain if it involves jail time.

DENIAL: The writing is on the wall, but LiLo won't read it.

Facing felony grand theft charges for allegedly pilfering a $2,500 from a jewelry store, and already on probation for her 2007 DUI case, she's up against it.

Nevertheless, Lohan insists on going to trial in the hopes she will win and clear her name. Apparently the train wreck is unaware of how probation works.

Holley, D.A. Danette Myers and Judge Keith Schwartz will meet week to get a feel for how much time Lindsay Lohan will be sentenced to with a guilty plea.


Given that her probation can be revoked at the judge's sole discretion, LiLo could be sitting behind bars one way or the other. Thus Holley's maneuvering.

Lohan doesn't care what kind of deal Holley gets, even if it means being locked up for merely a few weeks, though. She wants no part of it, end of story.

Lindsay wants to go to trial, feeling the surveillance tape will clear her name. It's a terrible gamble by all accounts, but one she seems hell bent on taking.

Jewelry Store Cashes in On Surveillance Tape, Possibly Blows Case Against Lindsay Lohan

The store allegedly victimized in the great Lindsay Lohan jewelry store heist may have just blown its credibility and the prosecutors' case against LiLo.

Kamofie & Co. sold the surveillance tape - which Lindsay says backs up her excuse that this was a misunderstanding - to an unknown media outlet.

This is causing fits for the lawyers in the case, particularly the prosecutor.

NO CREDIBILITY: Both sides may suffer from that problem.

Lindsay's defense is that the necklace was a loan. The jeweler begged to differ. Law enforcement arrested and charged Lohan with felony grand theft.


It boils down to the troubled star's intent, and her credibility will be called into question. After the sale of the surveillance footage, so will Kamofle's.

Convincing a jury that a celebrity misled and victimized you may be a tough sell after they opted to cash in on the notoriety by hawking the footage.

No word on how this will affect plea bargain negotiations.

While her lawyer tries to work a light sentence, Lindsay refuses to do time, but faces an uncertain fate given her longstanding probation. Stay tuned.

Lindsay Lohan completed a court-ordered 90-day rehab stint last month, but she was warned in court yesterday that she'll be sent to prison if she accepts a plea bargain related to a theft charge.

A source told website PopEater: “I'm not sure if she can survive this. She is so terrified and frightened that we all fear her addictions will kick in again to help her numb the fear.”

The actress is accused of stealing a necklace worth $2,500 from upmarket Californian boutique Kamofie & Company.

Though Lindsay has repeatedly denied the allegation -- insisting the item was loaned to her in exchange for publicity -- she has been offered a plea bargain deal, in which she is believed to be expected to serve just eight months in jail in exchange for pleading guilty.

The 24-year-old actress must decide whether to accept the deal or plead not guilty and take the case to trial by the time of her next hearing, which has been set for March 10.

Lindsay, who is free on $40,000 bail, was also warned by Judge Schwartz if she pleads guilty or no contest to the charge then he could rule that she is in violation of her earlier DUI order.

Lindsay’s parents Dina and Michael supported their daughter at her hearing yesterday, despite a restraining order in place banning the showbiz patriarch from going near his ex-wife.

Michael told RadarOnline.com: “We just want to be there for her, but to be there with Dina and the kids, to show our support as a family.

“The restraining order is in effect, it’s been seven years and in effect for five more months, but it doesn’t matter.

“At a time like this when the public needs to see and the court needs to see her family come together for her. Because that’s one of her biggest problems, she has a broken heart and she filled that crack in her broken heart that came from our divorce with all the wrong things.

“Parents have to put their differences aside for their children.”

I’m about to write something absolutely shocking: Lindsay Lohan is a crackhead liar made of crack lies. I know! I’m clutching my pearls as we speak. So, remember how Lindsay Lohan stole that necklace and then sauntered around Venice Beach, cracked out of her skull, wearing the stolen necklace? And then the cops got a search warrant, and somebody at the police station tipped her off, and Lindsay didn’t want the cops to raid her place and find all of her hoarded drugs so she arranged for a friend to “drop off” the stolen necklace at the police station. Then, when the charges came down, Lindsay’s team of cracked-out enablers went into overdrive offering possible explanations for the crack thievery. They said Lindsay “borrowed” the necklace. They said the video surveillance would show that Lindsay just “accidentally” took the necklace, because her crack mind is weak and forgetful. They said Lindsay would be found innocent! Lindsay said that she was not raised to lie, cheat or steal. Well, guess what?

    A male shopping with Lindsay Lohan at the beachside jewelry store in Venice, California, distracted an employee as the Mean Girls star stole a gold designer necklace — this according to a law enforcement source who has intimate knowledge of the surveillance video.

    “Lindsay had removed a necklace of hers that she was wearing when she tried on the necklace in question,” the source close to the case told RadarOnline.com, exclusively.

    “As Lindsay was putting her necklace back on, it’s apparent the store clerk was distracted by the male companion that was with Lindsay.”

    The sales associate provided a statement to investigators claiming she didn’t realize that Lohan hadn’t taken the necklace off, RadarOnline.com has learned.

    “The video then shows Lindsay and her male friend walking out of the store, all while Lindsay was wearing the necklace,” said the source. “It’s all clearly visible on the video.”

    Lohan, 24, pleaded not guilty on February 8 to a single count of felony grand theft; if convicted, she could be sent to prison for up to three years. Worryingly for the starlet, prosecutors believe the store surveillance video is strong evidence against her and one source even described it as a “smoking gun”.

    “The District Attorney believes that Lindsay’s friend distracted the clerk on purpose and that could bolster the case if it goes to trial against Lindsay,” said the source. “This simply wasn’t a case of miscommunication of a necklace being loaned and not returned, as Lindsay has claimed.”

    “Distraction theft” — as it is known in some legal quarters — if proved, can help establish a criminal’s intent. Lohan’s high-powered lawyer Shawn Holley didn’t receive the video until Wednesday at L.A.’s Airport Courthouse, where the actress appeared before Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz for a routine hearing.

    “This case does involve jail time — period,” Schwartz told Lohan, warning actress that he would send her to jail if she accepted a plea deal offered by prosecutors. “If you plead in front of me — if this case resolves in front of me — you are going to jail. Period. It may be an issue as to amount of time.”

    Schwartz said that if Lohan rejects the offer the case will be set for a preliminary hearing in front of another judge; she must decide by her next court date on Thursday, March 10.

So the surveillance tape that Team Crack claimed would VINDICATE Lindsay is somehow the most important evidence against her. Time for a plea, crackhead. And maybe the prosecution should talk to this dude who did the distractin’. I doubt he wants to hitch his wagon to Team Crack.

In what has become a familiar scene, Lindsay Lohan was spotted arriving at an LA County Courthouse today (February 23) to face charges of grand theft.

The “Mean Girls” actress, who turned up clad in a black top and white pants, as she was granted a continuance set to take place March 10th at 8:30 a.m.

The judge noted that the signing of a plea deal would guarantee jail time, saying, "I don't care that you're Lindsay Lohan."

Previously, Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley has declared that LiLo will only accept a plea deal if it keeps her out of the slammer- otherwise she’ll fight the charges.

Holley explained, "Ms. Lohan maintains her innocence, and now that I've seen the police reports, I believe the case is entirely defensible. Having said that, we will entertain a discussion concerning a plea if it means no jail so that she can move forward with her recovery and her career."
